I went over to Leyton Orient to get my first view of McAvennie who was playing MIDFIELD I thought he was ok and could be good for us then Goddard got injured and the rest is history….

Bearing in mind the Reading allocation is 2100 is it no chance of reaching non season-tickets and therefore as well to buy from Reading ? which according to the Reading site are unreserved seating so I'm guessing will be quite a lot of West Ham fans ? cheers

In my memory, it was away at Southend where we all thought “Hello! This Payet bloke looks like he could do a job.”

I agree Manuel. I remember watching Faubert at Dagenham thinking he looks decent, then he got injured. A fella called Payet against Charlton looked to have real promise too.

I use to love a pre-season game if we had just signed a new player and you were excited to catch a first glimpse of him, lovely sunny too usually. I doubt this will happen with this summers friendlies. No new players i mean, not nice days.

Re: Pre Season Friendlies
I’ve never seen us win at Reading and I’ve never seen us win at Luton. The worst two results for me, personally, were the 0-6 at Reading and the 0-5 at Luton in the ZDS cup, or whatever it was called at the time (thanks, Liverpool!) Two horrible, bogey grounds for us over the years, so I will give them both a swerve.

Will we be able to crossrail it all the way there?

Re: Pre Season Friendlies
I have bad memories of Reading, seeing us get stuffed and another fucking ground in the middle of nowhere. I’d recommend Borehamwood on the other hand. Place with a bit of history.

I live in Reading, lot of parking at the ground. Walk 300 yards straight from the station to Friar Street and you have about 10-15 decent boozers

I drove there when they dicked us 3-0 and although I've tired my best to block out the whole experience, I seem to recall there was quite a lot of match day parking around the ground.

Whats the parking like around Reading stadium? Cant remember last time we went there.

Also, Select Car Leasing stadium....dear god thats terrible. Just glad Brady hasn't signed LS off to something similar (yet)

Great boozer outside reading station then cab or bus to ground
No boozers near ground that let away fans in

I have never done Reading, so fancy that. Boreham Wood apparently on 12th July as well.

No Scotand dates announced.
